Happy New Year (almost)!!!

I decided today to make a separate blog beginning in 2009 to post pictures of the crafty stuff I make. I've been trying to make things while the house was being renovated through the summer and into the fall, and have succeeded despite my supplies being boxed up, mixed up, put up. Now, Wayne has kindly offered to have the closet in my scrapbook room outfitted with a countertop, drawers, cabinets and shelves. So once that's all finished, there should be nothing holding me back from being a crafting dynamo! Right?

Prior to Christmas, I worked fast and furious to get calendars made for my sister-in-law, Sybil, Wayne's step-sister, Stacey, and my friend Angela's mom. I did get theirs finished, and have one more to make for Wayne's mom. Hopefully I'll get it done before we get too far into January!

This week, I got an itch to make notebooks out of old Golden Books. Here are some of the ones I made:

And on the inside I added plain white paper:

The girls each chose a Barbie book to be converted, and Wyatt wanted a Jungle Book notebook. They were fun to make!

Amy and I worked on another craft today - Thomas the Train albums. I'll have to take pix of them and post later. Happy New Year, and here's to a crafty year!
